One Music Director's Choices for the 31Best Records of 2012

***UPDATE*** I have received an incredible response to this list...all positive. One thing to my band, label, and promotion buddies to know: you don't need to thank me. Keep making great music and rest assured that someone is always listening. Here's to a rockin', soulin', blues'n, or whatever 2013!

A few things before you dive in, ok? 1) I don't make any difference between a new album or a reissue of a long dead and out of print title. 2) They aren't in any order. Seriously. 3) Don't give me any shit about what I missed. I am sure your Pitchfork approved list is much better. I'll just have to live with that. Anyway, if you don't know any of these do yourself a favor and give them a listen. I am thinking of doing a Spotify list and if'n I do, you'll be the first to know.

Where you been?

Dear all,

My apologies to the 50 or so of you who check in on a regular basis for all the silence. So, after the 12/6 show I really dropped the ball. I got some kind of stomach virus and really struggled through the 12/13 show.  I simply missed the 12/20 show and Alex McNeil filled in for me so I am grateful to him for that. I will post the 12/13 playlist and the 12/28 playlist (Alex and I swapped for one week) in a couple of minutes. Tomorrow my choices for the 32 Best Records of 2012 so stay tuned for that. I might *might* even do a Spotify playlist for it...maybe. Probably not. It could happen.
