The Profiles - "If I Did'nt Love You"

Ok, you've earned it. Here's the Profiles for your Friday.

Dear all,

Thanks to your generosity during the WMBR 2012 Fundraiser, I raised an astonishing $4508 for the station. Needless to say that is my all-time high and exactly $1000 more than last year. I am humbled by your willingness to help out and I hope that you will get something out of the station in the coming year that will justify your faith in and contribution to me and my little radio show.

Much love, much love,

Christopher

Fundraiser TOMORROW!

Dear all,

If you are reading this post it is because you have donated to my radio show in the past or might be willing to donate to it this year. In previous years I wrote a whole song and dance about why you should help me but I'm not going to that this year. You've had enough bullshit slung at you the last few months via the election. Instead, I am simply going to ask you all for a small donation-really anything from $1-$1000-to support my dinky little radio show. The fundraiser starts tomorrow at 6 am and you can donate to my program-Thursday Lost and Found-by clicking on the pledge form link below anytime starting at 6 or by calling the station between NOON and TWO PM tomorrow. The number is 617-253-8810. Thanks to the kind folks at Daptone Records, I am able to give the first 25 people who donate at least $25 to my show a copy of Charles Bradley's No Time for Dreaming. He is a 62 year old man who just put out his first record. For reals. Here is the video of him performing his song "The World (Is Going Up in Flames)"...just tell me you don't want a copy.

Anyway, you are all good friends of the station and I know it sucks to be asked for money (especially after an election when many of you already gave out money to the candidates and as well as being right before Thanksgiving) but I am sure all of you know how much music in general and this radio station in particular mean to me and that I would be profoundly grateful for your support. If you can't swing it, no worries. This isn't a deal breaker going forward for anything. If you can, however, would you please?

It will only take a second tomorrow via phone or interwebs. Here's the phone number again: 617-253-8810 and the secure pledge site link:

https://wmbr.org/pledge2012.php

(IF YOU DECIDE TO CALL, PLEASE MAKE IT BETWEEN 12 and 2 PM and IF YOU DECIDE TO USE THE COMPUTER MACHINE, PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU SELECT Lost and Found Thursday FROM THE DROP DOWN MENU.)

Thank you all, in advance, for the support.

Much love, much love,

Christopher

P.S. The previous year's totals are as follows:

2005: $780
2006: $1500
2007: $1150
2008: $1700
2009: $2245
2010: $3200
2011: $3508
2012: ?

I plan on beating 2011.
